About This Project
Welcome to notLLM. This project began as an interactive game where users would chat with a partner to determine if they were a human or an AI. The goal was to collect real-world conversational data to study the nuances of digital communication and the characteristics that distinguish human and AI-generated text.
The active phase of this research concluded in early 2026. The game is no longer live, but the data collected continues to be invaluable.
Our research now focuses on analyzing the collected conversations to identify linguistic patterns, model capabilities, and the subtle cues that shape our perception of "humanness" in text. This work contributes to the broader effort of understanding and improving human-AI interaction.
Thank you for your interest in the project.
